The schoolhouse was constructed in Cold-foot, but moved to Wiseman in 1928. At that time, new joists, ridge pole, and roof poles were installed in the one-story, log building. The unusually large windows are the only features that differentiate this building from the residential cabins of the town. Recently, the school has received some large plywood additions. The cabin just behind it was the residence of the schoolteacher.
