One of a number of Craftsman-style houses in Cordova, the Donohoe house was built in about 1919 for an attorney. Merle K. “Mud-hole” Smith, a pioneer aviator, was the second owner, acquiring it in 1945. The one-and-a-half-story house is wood-framed, covered with shingles. Its wide eaves are ornamented with exposed rafter ends and bracketed purlin ends in the gables.
