Glen Huntington, the designer of this early Prairie Style residence, was a Denver admirer of Frank Lloyd Wright. He used a flat roof, overhanging eaves, and window bands to create a horizontal emphasis which departed radically from the popular styles of the day. Small-paned, rectangular windows and rectangular ornamentation on the fascias of the eaves add to the studied, geometric composition. The open, multilevel interior was also far ahead of its time. Originally stucco, the house was faced in stone during the 1950s.
