The opera house, which once contained a large theater, may have been designed by Ernest and R. H. Waycott, the contractors and proprietors. Clever murals that mimic the third-story fenestration mask removal of the original second-story bay windows. The first level is now a multiroom maze filled with antiques and architectural souvenirs in what has become a bar and restaurant.
