Strategically located beside the D&RG tracks and the Cactus Valley Ditch, this building collection includes the first Silt Public Library, the hand-hewn two-story log Sallee House (1914, Leander Sallee), the one-room Jake's Pool Hall, a blacksmith shop, a country store, a cow camp cabin, and agricultural, logging, and mining equipment. The Austin School (1913) is a one-roomer where twelve grades were taught.
