One of Frank Lloyd Wright's best-known disciples designed this lodge as a two-story frame cone with shingle cladding and vertical bands of windows. A low, cylindrical base houses sleeping spaces, leaving room for common areas in the dramatically shaped upper story topped by a cylindrical steel chimney with a unique forked finial. Many newer surrounding residences have somewhat diluted the impact of Goff's structure, but it remains prominent on the open east slope above the ski village center.
