One of Colorado's oldest depots is built of the handsome local sandstone, later stuccoed and painted white. Sited on the east side of La Veta Pass near the ruins of a turntable, this single-story, L-shaped station continued to serve wagons and trucks after the narrow-gauge railroad abandoned it.
