This antique rural general store, post office, gas station, and town center has a first story of native sandstone rubble set in concrete, a second story of clapboard with a false front, and a sheet metal roof. It is heated by a potbellied stove and has wooden floors and display cases, a loafers' bench in front, and an outhouse in back. This relic of the nineteenth-century town also has a second-story balcony and a shady porch below for surveying a bleak foreground enriched by distant views of the snowcapped Manti La Sal and San Juan Mountains.
