Star-Journal Model Home

This vernacular version of an English country home represented the Anglophilic fashions of the 1920s. The Pueblo Star-Journal, like newspapers across the country, publicized model homes, not only for design but for state-of-the-art appliances and construction techniques. The well-preserved two-story brick house has blocks of sandstone randomly set into the brick exterior and a steep-pitched roof which sweeps down over the arched entry door.
