On a bank of Soda Creek behind the Light House, this four-story, Mineshaft Modern composition of redwood and river rock culminates in an arched cornice that conceals the top of a circular stairway. The house rises four stories from its low-lying site to catch the sun. Protruding shed-roofed bays house solar panels and large areas of glazing. Fanciful wooden cutout posts bracket the elevated walk to the entry. Other local works by the architect include a sensitive 1989 rehabilitation of the Chief Theater (1920s), 810 Lincoln Avenue.
