Ford House

This group of domes takes its form from computer-designed balloons sprayed on site with gunite reinforced with metal fibers. The two-story central structure has skylights and a secondary garage wing amorphously joined on the west side. Flared bays wrap large windows and sliding doors on the first floor, while the main entry is a Pueblo Revival–style bay. Two separate, smaller domes stand behind the main structure, with a bank of free-standing solar panels to the west. A stucco southeast wall has a wooden gate beneath a stucco arch. Owner David L. Ford and his wife worked closely with Belinda Zink on the design.
