Saloonkeeper Johnny Nolon made this Neoclassical brick building the most popular watering hole and gambling hall in Cripple Creek. After Nolon left for the goldfields of Nevada in 1904, David Moffat converted it to the Cripple Creek State Bank. The original second-story dentiled cornice, Adamesque frieze, and elaborate pilasters still distinguish this building, which returned in 1991 to its original use.
