Varied Industries Building

-A A +A
1911, Oliver O. Smith. South side of Grand Concourse, east of 31st St.

This is a classical composition with a strong Arts and Crafts flavor. A gabled pavilion in brick, defined by heavy corner pilasters, projects from the front of the building. Connected to this on both sides are glass walls set far back under a wide cantilevered roof.
