When the Grange house was published in the August 1935 issue of The Architectural Forum, its qualities of “individuality,” “beauty in design,” and “livability” were lauded. In imagery the house is somewhat mid-way between the Art Deco of the 1920s and the Streamline Moderne of the thirties. The walls of the house are of concrete block, the floors and roof of reinforced concrete. The single small bedroom on the second floor opened onto a roof terrace. The house has been extensively remodeled in recent years.
