The essential scheme of this two-story sidehall brick house is derived from the Federal/ Greek Revival tradition; but its vertical proportions and its details are Italianate. A narrow porch runs across the first floor of the house; the entrance to the side has side lights and a transom. The roof of the house, with its returns on the gables, has paired brackets on both the eave and gable ends.
