Soper's Mill Bridge

1876, Zenus King and Peter M. Frees. Proceed north of Nevada on route S14, 5 miles; turn west on route E23; pass under I-35; the bridge is .75 mile farther west

This riveted bowstring iron-truss bridge, a single-span structure measuring 90 feet, was produced by the King Iron Bridge and Manufacturing Company of Cleveland, Ohio. The bridge spans the Skunk River on the principal early route between Nevada and Fort Dodge.
