Service Station

Here is a classic example of a brick-pier service station. The pump area is covered by a flat roof supported by two thick brick piers. The station and its large rear garage area are sheathed in patterned brick with a suggestion of pilasters carried up above the roof parapet. The front corners of the building have been cut at a 45-degree angle; the windows are large double-hung units with small lights above and single sheets of glass below. The service station is currently not in use.
