The time-honored American Colonial Revival was used here for a U-shaped retail center. Each of the three- or four-story brick buildings presents itself as an abstracted form, with major emphasis on the smooth, extensive brick walls. Within the central court is an open hip-roofed pavilion, which serves as a visual centerpiece. The open side of the court is approached by stairs that penetrate the terraced walls.
