The two-story rectangular block, usually covered with a hipped roof, was a popular building type in the years 1900 through 1915. In this house the general feeling conveyed is that of the classical tradition: there are broad, wide window openings accompanied by a wraparound piered porch. This house is constructed of concrete block in a pattern that imitates ashlar stone blocks.
