These two buildings that housed stores and offices still manage to convey a sense of what was the nineteenth-century streetscape in this section of the downtown. On the second floor of each structure, above the cast-iron and glass storefronts, are rows of arched windows. The southern building is Richardsonian Romanesque, while the northern building has a mild Italianate flavor.
