This brick and stone-trimmed house conveys a slight feeling that it was in the avant-garde for its time. A few of its details are reminiscent of the Prairie style, but others seem to lead back to Secessionist modes in Vienna. Its principal organizational device is the center pavilion with its entrance, curved roof, and large second-floor window that extends up into the shed-roofed dormer.
