A three-story Richardsonian Romanesque commercial block realized in sandstone, this long building was planned to be read as three blocks (including a central portion flanked by two somewhat lower balanced sections). The designer has used the rhythm of fenestration to differentiate these sections. In the center the ground floor is an arcade; on the second floor there are rectangular openings, and on the third floor, arches reappear. The sections on each side have a pattern of rectangular openings at top and bottom, with arches on the second level. The important corner location of the bank is emphasized by a corner bay tower with an S-curved roof.
