A classic towered Italianate villa, this dwelling looks like it is right out of one of the numerous popular pattern books of the 1840s and 1850s. The three-story tower is placed just where it should be, between a projection of one wing of the house to the left and another wing further back to the right. The entrance is in the base of the tower; the third floor of the tower has bracketed cast-iron balconies. There is a porch to the right of the entrance, and to the left is a large tripartite window whose sashes are carried down to the floor. Above this window is another projecting iron balcony.
