Stall House

This full-fledged Greek Revival house is credited with being the oldest house still standing in Mount Pleasant. Its plan is that of a central-hall type; there are two rooms on each side, each with its own fireplace. The dwelling is a two-story gable-roofed design with brick walls that are now painted white. The pediments at each end are open, with a slight return, and the entablature beneath the eaves is quite wide. Behind the entrance porch with double Doric columns is a broad door flanked by side lights, with a transom above. The center window on the second floor has small pilasters on each side and is crowned by its own entablature.
