The designer of this church, Frank Will, was an English emigré who became a leading member of the New York Ecclesiological Society. He designed many small Ecclesiological churches across the country. On this church's gable end facing the street, Will placed a wall tower, stepped in design, and terminated the roof above with an arched opening and a gable roof. Short buttresses define the sides of the sandstone Gothic Revival building. As with most Episcopal churches, the building is not only small in size, but all of its features are miniaturized. The design is dominated by the slate-covered roof which descends close to the ground. Sympathetic additions were made to the building during 1912–1915 and in 1955.
