Here is a delightful and inventive oddity that defies any effort to pinpoint its style. The lower section of the house is somewhat French Second Empire in style, with a mansard roof for the second floor; but on top of this has been placed a second gable roof which dramatically extends out over the mansard roof below. Other unusual features are the mansard-roofed dormers with their small-scaled gabled pediments; the mildly Italianate entrance porch; and then, as a finale, the louvered Palladian window placed in the center of the top gable roof.
