For a downtown area, one of the sensible forms given a combined garage and service station was a rectangular single-floor building situated on a corner, with the building's corner opened up as a covered area for the pumps. In this example the brick box is kept basic, its strongest decorative element being a false cornice with dentils and brackets below realized in the same brick as the walls of the building itself.
