Baker (Grier-Green) House
1862, later. 503 W. Broadway
The Baker house is a one-and-a-half-story Gothic Revival cottage that still exhibits its delicately sawed bargeboards on the gable ends and its metal roof finials and ridge comb. At a later date, probably in the 1870s, two new porches were added in the Eastlake style. The delicate detailing of the porches fits in well with the earlier Gothic Revival features.
