This school building is a bold, abstracted exercise in the Gothic, a la Bertram G. Goodhue's work of the teens and early twenties. The massiveness of masonry is emphasized, especially in the central entrance block, and then repeated within the two end pavilions. Stylized Gothic ornamentation appears throughout the two-story building, its richest outlay being around the principal entrance doorway.
