The design of this Prairie house is so close to Walter Burley Griffin's Comstock house, no. 2 (1912), in Evanston, Illinois, that it would be easy to assume that he did this house as well. This house has a roof form similar to that of the Bailey house on Seventh Street ( NO163): there is a central gable which flattens out at the eave ends, and a V-header window within the second-floor gable end. The roof of the entrance porch perfectly matches the main roof of the house.
