Burr would seem to have looked to the Chicago work of both Tallmadge and Watson as well as George W. Maher for the design of this house. The somewhat monumental entrance is contained in a wing to one side; a narrow glass-enclosed porch projects to the street. A typical Maher-like curved dormer looks out from the low-pitched hipped roof. The lower portion of the house is sheathed in narrow clapboard, and there is stucco between the second-floor windows.
