This is certainly a late use of the Greek Revival style for a church. The brick building was designed as a classical peripteral temple with pilasters (rather than columns) carried around the building. A simple triangle occupies the tympanum, and above is a two-tier tower and spire. The church was damaged by fire in 1910 and some changes were subsequently made, including the addition of the present small entrance porch.
