Long dated to the 1790s, this raised, one-and-a-half-story house on Biloxi’s Back Bay was probably built half a century later but employed older building techniques. Its gable-end walls rise above the roofline, and it has both a primary central entrance and French doors that open onto the gallery from the two front rooms. At the rear, two cabinet rooms flank a now-enclosed loggia. The Dogwood Garden Club renovated the building in the early 1950s. The porch washed away in both Hurricanes Camille and Katrina, and the house reopened in 2011.
