This sedate, two-story neoclassical revival limestone structure is attributed to Haussler, who worked for the bank’s builders, the St. Louis Bank Equipment Company. Cartouches with swags decorate the spandrel panels. Across the street at 501–503 E. Waldron Street, the red brick, many-pilastered former Security Guarantee Bank (1925–1926) is now the Alcorn County Chancery Building. It features Ionic columns in antis flanking the entrance, Doric pilaster capitals, an entablature with dentils, a shield panel in the attic level, and a coping, all in marble.
