This post office shares the attributes of the Colonial Revival–styled versions designed under Simon’s supervision. The building is of fire-resistant steel-frame construction, with dark red wire-faced brick exterior walls and a minimal limestone coping trimmed with a slightly molded outer edge. Granite steps lead to the entrance, which is topped by a fanlight and surmounted by a keystone with a line of header brick forming a gentle arch. The functional interior is well maintained, in generally original condition.
