Located on a site maintained by the Grand Forks County Historical Society that also includes a historic one-room schoolhouse, the city’s original log cabin post office, and a reassembled 1940s Lustron house, the Campbell house is a good example of one of Grand Forks’ earliest residential traditions. The contemporary carriage house, gazebo, and museum on the site nicely summarize the pioneering history of the region by displaying the buildings faithfully grouped in a residential setting. Another feature on the site is the Myhre Museum (1980, Wells-Denbrook), which houses restored carriages.
