The Capitol Complex encompasses a large plaza in the center of the city bounded by Carson, Musser, Stewart, and 5th streets, as well as a block across Carson Street bounded by 2nd, Curry, and Musser streets. Although the capitol alone occupied the space set aside by Abe Curry, it now shares the plaza with an office building, the State Library, the Supreme Court, and the State Legislative Building. Directly across Carson Street from the capitol stands the Office of the Attorney General, flanked by the old Ormsby County Courthouse and the Attorney General's Annex, formerly the Heroes Memorial. Together these large public structures create a distinct, if slightly disjointed, district in Carson City.
