This three-bay stone house with a gable roof is two rooms over two rooms joined by a sidehall staircase. It has four corner fireplaces and multipaned windows with little ornamentation. Maryland-born Lewis Smalley, a soldier in the Revolutionary War, bought this property in 1797. The stone Pennsylvania bank barn is of timber-frame construction, and has the signatures on its walls of Union soldiers who were stationed here to guard the PRR during the Civil War. This is a beautifully restored farm overlooking the confluence of Aughwick Creek and the Juniata River.
