Located on a quiet stretch of road between two small villages, this farm, though no longer occupied, has excellent integrity. A number of frame buildings remain, including a Pennsylvania bank barn (1897) and several sheds, a small house for extended family or for hired hands, and the grape arbors. The four-bay, two-story, gable-roofed stone house has a raised basement on the front, and is built into the hillside at the rear. It is representative of western Pennsylvania farmhouses dating between 1800 and the 1860s.
