Hermitage Historical Society (Robert and Mary Ann Stewart House)
Robert and Mary Ann Stewart commissioned this handsome brick Italianate house from contractor Jacob Weaver as the centerpiece of their 183-acre cattle farm. Deep bracketed eaves and elongated windows with segmental cap molds remain on all elevations, but, unfortunately, the square central tower that rises above the principal entrance is missing its original concave roof. Today the house is headquarters for the Hermitage Historical Society.
