This massive, but plainly detailed brick building by the quintessential Quaker architect Hutton is best seen across the sports fields with its size holding its place. It housed the entire school when it was built and was followed by the infirmary in 1895 and the principal's house in 1901. They are more in the Colonial Revival mode than Hutton's quasi-industrial Victorian design for the Orthodox Westtown Friends Boarding School ( CH22).
