F. G. Yorks House

Frederick Yorks, manager of the Bloomsburg Silk Mills and director of the Bloomsburg Bank and the First National Bank, was building his own elaborate residence at the same time as Tustin's house ( CO9) across the street. Born in Muncy, Ritter studied architecture in Bloomsburg and designed this neoclassical house early in his career before his move to Philadelphia where he became one of the names associated with skyscrapers in the 1920s. This has a monumental Corinthian portico ornamented with decorative garlands and pineapples.
