Bosak Bank Building

Slovak entrepreneur Michael Bosak made a fortune in patent medicines and banking. In 1915, he commissioned Davis to build this brick Classical Revival bank, heavy with quoins. Five years later, Bosak commissioned Davis and Lewis to design him a second commercial building at 426 Lackawanna Avenue; its details include caryatids and carvings of an almost Art Nouveau sensibility.
