Harrisburg's politically connected architectural firm received the commission for the Lewistown Armory, which was built as a federal public works project for the 104th Machine Gun Troop of the National Guard. Designed in the Colonial Revival style, the brick veneer building has the traditional I-plan, combining administrative offices and a stable for the horses of the calvary units.
