Midway along the 300 block of Spruce Street, entrance can be gained to city planner Edmund Bacon's greenway system. St. Peter's Way provides a modern walkway south toward the landmark spire of St. Peter's Church (PH18), while to the north, St. Joseph's Way leads to the tiny houses of Bell's Court. The Bell's Court houses were originally two rows of tiny dwellings facing each other across an alley, and are exceptionally handsome examples of the trinity house type, with one room to each floor and a winder stair in the corner.
