Jason P. Hazard, a deacon of West Greenwich Center Baptist Church and a farmer of importance in the area, broke with the congregation and built this church. It is a slightly more pinched version of the building he left. Plainer than plain, inside it contains what appear to be its original Victorian fittings: chairs, gas chandeliers (electrified), and organ.
