Bailey's school complex steps into the architectural void of Freeport with confidence and wit. The largely windowless building consists of shaped pieces—in plan and section—that express the uses of space within. The entrance bay, with its arced roof, tall windows, and slender steel canopy structure, strikes a note of architectural authority that feels un-pretentious and welcoming.
