1967, McCord and Lorenz; tower, Wallace R. Wilkerson, engineer. 3401 Santa Fe St.

The vaulted-roof church enhances Corpus Christi's collection of thin shell concrete structures. Wilkerson's svelte, open-air, three-arched freestanding tower is positioned to the side of the nave, while the latter's exterior walls are defined by catenary arches topped by stained glass panels. Interior courtyards to either side of the nave bring natural light to the worship space through continuously glazed openings that are curiously topped by a thin shell vaulted canopy projecting to both the interior and exterior.
