House (Letitia Rosenberg Home for Aged Women)
Another beneficiary of Henry Rosenberg's largesse was this home for aged women, built with Rosenberg's $30,000 bequest as a memorial to his first wife. Muller's design, his largest surviving institutional building, was severely damaged in the Storm of 1900 but reconstructed. The high-raised, stucco-faced brick building presents a grandly scaled symmetrical elevation—double loggias framed by gabled wings—to Rosenberg Avenue, while opening in an L-plan configuration to the prevailing southeast breeze and views toward the Gulf of Mexico.
