Indicative of the best new houses in the Heights, this two-story modern house, faced with cementitious panels, is visually unassertive. Interior spaces are oriented to walled courtyards, yet the house seems to engage its street-corner lot rather than ignore it. Other notable new houses are at 1512 Rutland Street (2009) by Parra Design Group; 1536 Tulane Street (2003) by Robert Burrow; 1515 Ashland Street (2002) by Rob Civitello/Local Architect; 1226 Waverly Street (2007) by Stern and Bucek; and 1233 Allston Street (2006) by Anthony E. Frederick.
